"A common misconception exists that Kansas is a vast plain of emptiness stretching from somewhere west of St. Louis to the Rocky Mountins—traversible only by a 423-mile ribbon of interstate highway and preferably at night. In fact, Kansas. offers a wide variety of landscapes—the High Plains being just one of 11 distinct geographic regions". —Mark Feiden, The Kansas Landscape Images from Home, 2005
While the
Flint Hills became my central focus, I have never lost interest in opening eyes to the diverse landscape (a surprise to many) of the entire State. In 1998, I co-founded
The Konza Press and we have been producing, books, note cards, and other Kansas-focused products since. This page offers a sampling of a rich portofolio or work spanning nearly 40 years. What you will not find here, is a single image from the Flint Hills [smile]. As you might imagine, this is the tip of the iceberg. I will be adding (and probably subtracting) from this as time allows.
NOTE: I realized, after writing this, that I did include one Flint Hills image. Can you identify it?
